AYR LOGISTICS ATTENDED HELICOPTER INVESTOR LONDON 2022 CONFERENCE

Stephen Lyons, Group Chief Development Officer at AYR Logistics Limited and  Air Taurus Limited attended this year’s Helicopter Investor London Conference, joining the panel of “The business of moving parts” which focussed on the way forward for drones and eVTOL in organs, medicines and medical supplies.

Stephen Lyons shared the platform with Will Heyburn of Blade Urban Mobility, which provides organ transport by helicopter in New York, and Alex Brown of SkyPorts, which has undertaken some proof of concept flying on behalf of the UK NHS for vaccine deliveries and medical tests in the Scottish Islands. Speaking after the conference, Stephen stated “Transporting medical supplies, including medicines, bloods, and maybe one day organs, will undoubtedly be a critical part of our humanitarian Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) effort. This was a great opportunity for us to get our plans to use Unmanned Aircraft Systems for humanitarian logistics in front of key companies in the rotorcraft community, and judging by the response I received, I believe we are on the right track."
