Conventional Aircraft

Air Taurus’ exceptional experience operating in inhospitable, challenging and hostile environments, coupled with its excellent safety record and over 90% despatch rate, makes it your preferred partner when travelling to remote regions of the world.

Helicopter Operations

Air Taurus operates a fleet of medium utility helicopters and is a registered vendor for aviation services to United Nations agencies (UN) and the World Food Programme (WFP). Since its foundation, Air Taurus has taken part in many of the world’s major humanitarian crises covering conflict zones and natural disasters. Our crews have undertaken multiple roles, including the transportation of:

  • Food, relief aid, shelter, medical supplies, and other equipment
  • Aid workers
  • Peacekeeping personnel and equipment
  • MEDEVAC/CASEVAC, including transportation of Ebola victims
  • Firefighting
  • Search and Rescue

Fixed Wing Operations

Air Taurus provides fixed-wing aircraft services through ACMI of charter contracts covering cargo and passenger services.

Aircraft Charter

Air Taurus provides aircraft management services for charter aircraft, including:

  • Short, medium and long haul cargo aircraft
  • General passenger transportation
  • Executive, VIP and VVIP transportation

Ground Support

Our experience gained from operating on several continents ensures our ability to have aircraft mission-ready at all times.  Our crews are an integral part of the logistics supply chain, handling flight planning, field logistics and management, fuel supply, aircraft crewing and training.

Our extensive knowledge of a variety of cargo, passenger and combi aircraft in support of our global operations, together with our in-country experts, ensures cost-efficient and effective flight routing and scheduling, payloads, cargo preparation, warehousing and customs clearance.

Our missions frequently require us to fly into locations where even the most basic ground support is unavailable. So it should not be surprising that our crews are skilled at adapting to any situation, quickly creating the necessary ground handling to load, unload and get our aircraft airborne again.

Innovative Technology

The pressure on the aviation industry over its carbon emissions is immense and spilling over to the humanitarian sector. Air Taurus is planning for this future by integrating next-generation hybrid-electric unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into its operations.

We plan to use highly-efficient next-generation UAVs to revolutionise humanitarian logistics: UAVs promise cost-effective operations, excellent dispatch reliability and a 24-hour all-weather operational capability.  The ability of UAVs to perform vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) with pinpoint accuracy and autonomous operations in incredibly challenging and austere conditions, frequently without basic airport infrastructure, make them ideal for humanitarian operations.

Utilising fuel-efficient electric hybrid engines, our UAVs will also play a part in addressing critical environmental issues with an ultra-low carbon footprint.

Air Taurus will use the new UAV technology in multi-purpose humanitarian roles to those communities impacted by starvation, poverty, and natural disasters, including:

  • Vaccines, medicines, medical supplies, PPE and testing kits.
  • Food and emergency relief supplies.
  • Equipment and spare parts.
  • Firefighting. UAVs can provide higher levels of accuracy and 24-hours operations, delivering significant advantages over conventional aircraft.
  • Resupply
  • General freight operations.
